Search Engine FAQ’s
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation.
SEO is about making your content as relevant to search as possible by doing things like optimising page titles and content to include keywords.
Words that have a value to your business based on their relevance and use in search are considered “keywords”. Keywords are the most popular & relevant search terms that can be used to optimise a webpage in the hope of ranking the page high in search results.
Organic search results are the listings on a Search Engine Results Page (SERP).
If you have optimised your website for search, high ranking organic results simply deliver traffic, relevant to your content.
Efforts to follow SEO best practices, sometimes called white hat SEO or organic SEO, are designed to boost a website’s SERP position without paying or resorting to trickery. Unscrupulous practices, such as keyword stuffing are usually referred to as black hat.
Any SEO strategy starts with a website audit.
There may be existing issues that can be rectified to improve results without leaping into improving “keywords”.
Missing meta tags, broken links, poor page speed and code errors can affect results.
