HTML Websites

Reliable, Secure & Fast

Static HTML websites

Don’t dismiss a static HTML website as outdated and no longer useful

It might seem archaic to build a website using HTML these days.

There are many Content Management Sytems that making building a website relatively easy without knowing code, so why go to the trouble of hand coding a HTML website?

Foundation Language

HTML is the foundation language for all webpages

htmlHTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language and is used to create web pages.

Every single web page on the internet uses HTML.

HTML is not dead, it’s just not the modern, preferred method to create web pages. Manual coding of markup language opposed to pushing a button to create a website.

Website Standards

There are standards for code

website standardsWith just plain HTML, we are directly working with the code & can produce valid HTML website code, ensuring all code complies with W3C standards.

CMS have been known for generating less than acceptable HTML code, but are now much better than they used to be.

A HTML website that follows W3C standards provides compatibility across operating systems & browsers while requiring little to no ongoing maintenance.

Bootstrap by Twitter

Bootstrap is an open source toolkit for developing with HTML, CSS, and JS

blankOriginally created by a designer and a developer at Twitter, Bootstrap has become one of the most popular front-end frameworks and open source projects in the world.

HTML Vs CMS

A Fast website with No CMS loading lag

html websiteOn one hand, we have a HTML website on the server. It won’t change, it’s always static. There’s no background processing going on. You request it, it appears.

On the other hand, we have  a content management system driven website and a request for a page uses PHP and a database to “assemble” your website on the fly. PHP assembles the HTML and the database pulls in the content & the extra processing takes time.

PHP and a database introduces additional load time and delays which makes a HTML only website fast in comparison.

A HTML website an be completely customised so your site dosen’t look like some overused CMS or free website template.

Website Management & Maintenance

HTML requires little to no maintenance.

A HTML website is low maintenance compared to the constant updating required for CMS to keep functioning and secure.

The “dynamic part” of a HTML website that requires occasional updating is usually the contact form.

This means a HTML website that was created 20 years ago will still work today. This is far from the scenario you will encounter using high maintenance CMS’s.

The low maintenance needs of a HTML website alone should be a good reason to use & taken into consideration for long term viability.

Design Attitude?

Clients Playing Second fiddle

Lack of experience often leads to the client needs being placed second according to the designers ability or experience.

Many modern “web designers” make excuses why CMS’s need to be the first choice to create a website, but not a single excuse to use plain ol’ HTML.

The truth is, web designer’s that exclusively use CMS’s either don’t know how to code, or simply couldn’t be bothered providing the best solution because of the manual work involved.

The over reliance on CMS’s should be clear to those looking for a web designer as it puts design asthetics before practicality to distract from what is actually required.

Small & start up business should consider HTML for a long term website.

Choose a A HTML website if information doesn’t need to be changed often as the main purpose is to be found for basic information & as a contact point.
